Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 31 May 2026 · cleaning.vigilservices.co.uk

Our accessibility commitment

Vigil Services Ltd is committed to making cleaning.vigilservices.co.uk accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability or the assistive technology they use. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

This website was built using modern web technologies with accessibility considered throughout — semantic HTML, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigability, and descriptive alt text on images and SVG illustrations.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We are actively working to improve accessibility across all pages.

Accessibility features on this website

  • Semantic HTML: Headings, landmarks, and page structure are implemented using appropriate HTML elements to support screen readers.
  • Colour contrast: Text and background colour combinations throughout the site meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, and form fields — are accessible using a keyboard alone without requiring a mouse.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements.
  • Alt text: All meaningful images and SVG illustrations include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked as such.
  • Form labels: All form fields in our qualification flow and careers application include associated labels.
  • ARIA attributes: ARIA labels and roles are used where additional context is needed for assistive technology users.

Known accessibility issues

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations:

  • Some interactive components — particularly the FAQ accordion — may not announce state changes correctly on all screen reader and browser combinations. We are reviewing this.
  • The embedded Calendly booking calendar (on the contact page) is a third-party tool whose accessibility is outside our direct control. Calendly's own accessibility statement is available at calendly.com/accessibility.
